Ladies and gentlemen, hey, hi! How ya doin’? Welcome back to the channel. Last week we went ahead and broke down all the assault rifles in the game and ranked them from worst to best. And something you guys commented a lot of on that video is that we should do the same thing for the SMGs, since this category has changed a lot, especially recently with certain buffs and nerfs.
So, today, we’re doing just that: breaking down every SMG, the best loadout, and attachments, setups, so forth, and ranking them from worst to best.
So, if you enjoy the video at any point, or you just find it helpful, let me know by dropping a like on it. And of course, if you’re new here, we are always covering the latest Call of Duty news, intel, updates, leaks, setups, you name it, you’ll find it right here. So feel free to subscribe with your notifications turned on.
Now, as always, when we do this loadout videos, as I’m sure you guys know, I pretty much use the same secondary, perks, and equipment on all of my loadouts. SMGs admittedly are a bit trickier since I use them as secondaries on a lot of classes and feature rifles or even snipers. But as far as the perks and equipment go, that all stays the same, so let’s go over that stuff once.
#8 – STRIKER 45
Anyways, getting into the list at number 8, the worst SMG we have, at least in my mind is, the Striker 45. Ironically, going into, what, Season 2, when this is released, we thought that it was going to be insanely good, because it’s basically a remake of the UMP45. And, of course, we all know just how good the UMP45 was. But, yeah, here we are and the Striker 45 is incredibly underwhelming. You know this thing really needs some damage and some range buffs in my opinion, so I just don’t think it’s a super optimal SMG.
However, if you do wanna mess around with it, I go to setup that consist of Monolithic Suppressor, for usual. Get used to this one; it will be reappearing a lot today. Then, I’ve got the 400mm barrel for the best range and control; the Tac Laser for better mobility and stability; the Merc Forgrip for better control; and this also has that weird speed glitch so it’s actually good for mobility too; and then finally, I’ve got the 45 Round Mags. And unfortunately, that is the largest magazine option we have.
Now for a loadout with the Striker, I would probably use an AR or a Sniper via Overkill or via two loadout, just because the range on this thing isn’t insane. And recently, my favorites there are the M13 with the Monolithic Suppressor; the Marksman Barrel; the Tac Laser; the VLK 3.0x Optic; and also the 60 Round Mags.
The Bruen which is basically an assault rifle, right, with the Monolithic Suppressor; the Horizon Barrel; the 60 Round Mags; the VLK 3.0x Optic; and also the Skeleton Stock. Or when it comes to sniping, the KAR98K with the Monolithic Suppressor; the 27.6-inch Barrel; the Tac Laser; the Variable Zoom Scope; and also the Stippled Grip Tape. Then for perks, you guys know the drill.
We’ve got EOD, Overkill and Amped. Then we switch to EOD, Ghost, and Amped through the second loadout. Then we’ve got the C4 and the Heartbeat Sensor on the class as well.
#7 – FENNEC
Now getting into Number 7, here we’ve got the Fennec, the newest SMG in the game, thanks to Season 4. And honestly, the Fennec is really good if you’re using it close range. But anything outside of that and it’s basically a pea shooter. It’s incredibly poor range and fast fire-rates are just not ideal whatsoever for medium and long range fights. So it really lacks in versatility, but at least it’s good in somewhere, unlike the Striker 45 is just kind of meh everywhere.
So, for the Fennec, I would like the Deadfall Barrel, which is essentially like the equivalent of the Monolithic Integral Suppressor; then I’ve got the Tac Laser; the Merc Foregrip; the 40 Round Drums; then finally Sleight of Hands, because you’re pretty much always reloading with this thing, so that comes in handy there.
#6 – P90
Then at Number 6, I’ve got the P90, and honestly I would say from this point on, all the SMGs are really close when they comes to how well they perform. You know, unlike like other categories in the game, nearly every SMG is usable here in Warzone. You know, they’re all pretty consistent and viable. But with the P90, I find it less effective than some of the others. But that said, it is still a very dominant SMG in those close and medium range fights, and its magazine size by default is perfect for those squad engagements, so there’s that as well.
Now here, I rock the Monolithic Suppressor, again; the Retribution Barrel to increase the range and control; the Tac Laser once more; the Stippled Grip Tape; and also the Fly Strap stock for better mobility.
So all things considered, this setup is pretty fast and it has great control, so we can certainly hold its own in any given gunfights.
#5 – PP19 BIZON
Now, breaking into Number 5. At number 5, I’ve got the Bizon. This is actually one of my favorite weapons in all of Multiplayer. Here in the Warzone, I would say it’s not as nearly as good just because it’s not as powerful against armor, but this thing is perfect for those closed range fights. Its magazine size by default is incredible; its control is pretty good; and all around, the Bizon is just a great SMG when it comes down to it.
So, here I’ve got a Suppressor, and we all know it’s the Monolithic One; and then I’ve got the Steel Barrel; the Tac Laser; the Stippy Grippy, gonna bring that at least once per loadout video, right; and then finally I’ve got the Skeleton Stock, since this weapon definitely excels the most when you’re playing aggressive and round those closed quarters engagements.
#4 – UZI
Then at Number 4, this is probably will come as a surprise to a lot of you, and I’ve actually got the Uzi. Now, here me out: the Uzi is severely underrated, and I mean severely underrated.
Yes. At the start of the year, even in Multiplayer, the Uzi was just not good. It was easily the worst SMG. But thanks to the new enhancements it got, it’s now a lot more usable; it’s a lot stronger now. Like I said, it gets overlooked way too much. Now, its one downside is its smaller magazine. That kind of sucks, but outside of that, the Uzi is actually really fun to use.
So, on it, I’ve got the Monolithic Suppressor, which honestly should just be called the Colossus Suppressor instead, this thing is giant on the Uzi specifically, not sure why, but hey I’m all about it; and then I’ve got the Carbine Pro Barrel for the best range and control; the Merc Foregrip yet again; the .41 AE Round, which is really what makes Uzi such as better SMG, without this ammo, I would probably say it’s Number 7 or Number 8 SMG in the game; then finally I’ve got the Stippled Grip Tape, yet again.
Now getting into the Top 3. These are all SMGs that even by themselves could be incredibly good. Then obviously, when you pair them with an M13 or an M4 or KAR or even an HDR, they can become even better because they can bounce off that loadout in general.
#3 – AUG
So, at Number 3, I’ve got the AUG. Although I will say the best Warzone setup for the AUG isn’t really an SMG-style class. It’s definitely more of an assault rifle class when it comes down to it. However, that doesn’t stop it from being any less dominant in pretty much any kind of engagements.
So personally, I’m using the Monolithic Suppressor, again, big surprise, I know; then I’ve got the Extended Barrel, just because I feel like the Long Barrel is a bit too slow, but if that doesn’t bother you too much, then that’s also a great choice; then I’ve got the Tac Laser; the 5.56 NATO 60-Round Drums, which turned this into a rifle and also make this way better in every single type of engagement you get into; then lastly, and again, I’ve got the Stippy Grippy.
#2 – MP7
Then, coming in at Number 2 I’ve got the MP7. Even though it’s number two in my list, I would say that this weapon is probably my favorite SMG in the game for Warzone, just because it’s a crucial part of my favorite loadout, which consists of the KAR98K, and of course, the MP7.
So, the thing about the MP7 is that, it’s got a great fire-rate, so up-close, it’s awesome. It’s got low recoil though too, so in medium and long range fights, it’s also insanely good. And the damage range is also pretty surprising, considering this is an SMG. So, you can’t really go wrong with the MP7 in the slightest.
Now, on it, my go-to class setup consist of the Monolithic Suppressor; the RECON Barrel; the Tac Laser, the Merc Foregrip, and also the 60-Round Mags. All of which maintain that control and the mobility, making it a very well-rounded SMG.
#1 – MP5
Then, of course by process of elimination, obviously, the number 1 SMG in Warzone currently, is still the MP5. Now, yes, the MP5 did get a nerf with the 1.23 update. Yes, it is not as good as it was before, but when it comes down to a reliable secondary setup, if I need something I know I can do well with right away, the MP5 is without a doubt, my go-to choice.
The CQC dominance the MP5 has is honestly unmatched. It can shred up-close, the hit-fire is ridiculously accurate; it’s recoil is minimal. There’s basically no downsides to the MP5 even after the nerf. So I think it takes the number one spot, or I guess remains in that number one spot easily.
Now, I’m currently using the Monolithic Integral Suppressor, as we’ve talked about before. Ace has proven that this is actually better than the regular Monolithic Suppressor. Then I’ve also got the Merc Foregrip; the 45 Round Mags; the Stippled Grip Tape; and also Sleight of Hand, which is about as good as it gets when it comes to being the perfect SMG.
So, now I wanna know, between all these setups and weapons, which one do you think is the best? Or which one do you enjoy using the most? Like I said, I’ve had to go to MP7 just because of its versatility, even though it may not be the number one choice when it comes to just absolutely slaying out.
But anyways, with all of that being said, that is how I would rank all the SMGs we currently have in the game, alongside the best attachment setups for each of them.
That is going to wrap things up for today. If you guys enjoyed the video, or if you just found it helpful, let me know by dropping a like on it.
